3-5 Year Family Law Associate Attorney
We constantly monitor the caseloads of our attorneys and they are getting too big so it is time to bring in more help. We are a small Firm in Sandy practicing in Family Law, Criminal Defense, and Personal Injury Law. We are looking to hire 1-2 full-time Associate Attorneys to help with our growing caseloads in our family law practice area. (we are also looking for more help in our Personal Injury Practice, so if that is more to your taste apply to that position). We are looking for someone that has handled divorce and custody matters from the initial meeting with clients through trial and is familiar with both how to litigate these matters and the general climate of family law in the Salt Lake Market. While we are looking for someone with experience, we are also willing to help train someone with analogous experience.
The successful candidate(s) will have excellent computer, communication (both written and verbal), proofreading, research, and time management skills. In order to be successful in our firm, you must possess the ability to be an effective team member and interact with paralegals, staff, and clients. This is a great opportunity for a hard-working individual with the ability to learn and grow within our firm by taking their practice to the next level.
Because we are a small firm, everyone pitches in to help with whatever is asked of them to ensure our client’s expectations are met. Our attorneys and staff are always improving their knowledge and skill set and your willingness to grow your knowledge and skill set are important to us. Some of the best and most productive times we have are collegially talking through cases as a group. If you are offended by pitching in, whether it is taking out the garbage, making a copy, covering a hearing, or talking through a hearing you just had with a particular judge, please don’t apply.
The ideal candidate(s) will have integrity, intelligence, be energetic, and be focused on providing high-quality legal representation to criminal defense as well as divorce and family law clients, both inside and outside the courtroom. The candidate(s) must be able to competently handle working with a supervising attorney on their caseload and be able to handle their own caseload as assigned, including motion practice and court appearances as required.
